Next Hot Dog Roast Fundraiser is July 16 at Concord Public Library

Erie County Legislator John J. Mills will be joined by Village of Springville and Town of Concord officials, along with library personnel, for the 9th annual Hulbert Library of the Town of Concord Hot Dog Roast Fundraiser. 

 

The event will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, July 16 at the Concord Public Library, 18 Chapel St., Springville. There will be two meal combos available: hot dog and bottle of water for $1 and Italian sausage and water is $2. The library will also have a bake sale during the fundraiser with homemade desserts. All proceeds benefit the library.

 

“This annual event has raised more than $8,900 over nine years and I expect this year we will pass the $10,000 mark. Please stop by on July 16 and support the library and help make this the most successful fundraiser we’ve had,” said Legislator Mills. “This is a great community event and gets bigger and better each year.”

 

The event will also feature a special story time with Library mascot “Reada Book” and Legislator Mills in the newly renovated children’s area at 3:30 p.m. to promote the “Read Aloud 15 Minutes” campaign, which encourages daily reading to children. There will also be a UNYTS blood drive from 2:30-6:30 p.m., please contact the library for information.

 

The library’s annual book sale will run 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 14; 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, July 16 and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, July 17.

  • Wednesday, July 22, 4:30 – 7 p.m., at the Eden Library, 2901 E. Church St., Eden
  • Friday, August 14, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m., at the Orchard Park Library, 4570 S. Buffalo St., Orchard Park
  • Saturday, August 15, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m., at the West Falls – Colden Library, 1966 Davis Rd., West Falls in partnership with Majority Leader Joseph Lorigo
