Legislator Mills presents donation to Angola Library

Erie County Legislator John J. Mills is pleased to announce that the 3rd annual Angola Library Hot Dog Roast Fundraiser, held June 6, raised $1,210 to support continued improvements to the library. The donation was presented to Library Director Mary Truby on June 27 during a presentation at the library. Also attending the presentation were Village of Angola Trustee Carole Kin, who serves as liaison to the library; Library Board President Jack Kuebler and Library Board Trustee Donna Nagel.

North Collins Library Fundraiser set for July 2

Erie County Legislator John J. Mills will host his annual Hot Dog Roast Fundraiser on Wednesday, July 2, from 4 – 7 p.m., at the North Collins Library, 2095 School St., North Collins. 

Legislator Mills announces 2014 Hot Dog Roast Fundraiser schedule

Erie County Legislator John J. Mills announces the schedule for his 8th annual Hot Dog Roast Fundraisers to support the library branches in his district. In total, these popular events have raised more than $40,000 to support ongoing efforts to provide quality programming and materials at each of the branches in Legislator Mills’ District.

Majority Caucus statement following audit of Legislature

In February, Chairman John Mills and the Majority Caucus of the Erie County Legislature requested Comptroller Stefan Mychajliw to do an audit of legislature expenses over the past five-years, the final audit report has been received and highlights spending practices of former Legislature chairs. In the Legislature, the Chairperson has sole control over expenditures, and all request for spending must be approved by the Chairperson. 

Legislature’s Majority Caucus calls special session to approve road work

During its April 10, 2014 session, the Erie County Legislature Majority Caucus – Chairman John Mills, Majority Leader Joseph Lorigo and Legislators Lynne Dixon, Kevin Hardwick, Ted Morton and Edward Rath – called a special session for April 24 to ensure crews could begin critical road work as soon as possible.
