Erie County Legislator John Mills recently announced primetime funding for summer youth programs throughout Erie County. Primetime funding is made possible through New York State Aid dollars and is given to qualifying organizations that provide recreational activities in an adult supervised environment for kids during summer recess months.

Organizations receiving primetime funding for summer youth programs in Legislator Mills’ district include:

  • Springville Club for Boys & Girls, Inc., $8,930

  • Boys & Girls Club of Eden-Lakeshore, $10,046

Other countywide organizations receiving funding include:

  • Girl Scouts of WNY - $8,930
  • Greater Niagara Frontier Council/Boy Scouts - 13,395
  • Cornell Cooperative Extension - $8930
  • YMCA Western NY - $13395
  • The Salvation Army - $10,046
  • Native American Community Services- $6,681 

Legislator Mills said, “I am thrilled to know that the Springville Club for Boys & Girls, Inc. and the Boys & Girls Club of Eden-Lakeshore will be receiving this funding. It is so important for our youth to have a structured summer program to attend while they are out of school.”
