Over the past several weeks, Erie County Legislator John Mills collected valentines made by students at a number of schools throughout the community. Each valentine was delivered to men and women serving at the Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station and various VFW Posts as part of the annual ‘Valentines for Veterans’ program.

Legislator Mills said, “Every year, I look forward to seeing the thoughtful, personalized cards made by students. It’s a small gesture to let the men and women who served our country and those still serving know how much we truly appreciate everything they do.  Thank you to all who participated!”

The following schools in Legislator Mills’ district participated:

  • Eden Elementary School
  • Eggert Elementary School
  • Ellicott Elementary School
  • Gowanda Elementary School
  • Grover L. Priess Elementary School
  • North Collins Elementary School
  • South Davis Elementary School
  • St. Aloysius Regional School
  • St. John Vianney School

In addition to the Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station, cards were delivered to American Legion Posts in Springville, Eden, and other locations throughout Erie County.
