Erie County is home to many individuals, groups, non-profits, and public sector agencies that provide services to the older adult population. The Erie County Department of Senior Services fills a unique role in this system of providers. We assess the system to determine where our services are performing well and where we need to do better. We monitor demographic, economic, and political changes and anticipate how they may affect older adults in our community. Then we take what we learn and advocate on behalf of our older adults to ensure that we keep moving forward in providing the quality services that are needed to help people remain happy, healthy, and independent as they age.

On this page you will find multiple links to research on the older adult population, services that contribute to their well-being and ability to live independently in the community, and much more. We invite you to explore these links and their contents.
