Erie County Legislator Frank Todaro recently honored Gordon Companies—a family owned-and-operated business in Cheektowaga . Owner Dave Gordon went into business in 1977 to offer wholesale savings to families in Western New York. Today, the company remains a family business with almost half a dozen family members working in various positions throughout the company divisions.

Gordon Companies consists of five divisions: Christmas Central, Pool Central, Dave’s Christmas Wonderland Stores, Northlight and Christmascentral.com. They are now an importer, wholesaler and retailer with 350 associates and more than 400,000 square feet of warehouse and distribution space.

Gordon Companies is one of Inc. Magazine’s Top 5,000 fastest growing companies for three straight years, and for a second year in a row Christmas Central has been listed as one of the best online shops in the country by Newsweek Magazine and Statista in the Home Décor and Textiles category.
