Erie County Legislator Frank Todaro recently honored Lancaster High School valedictorian Emmerson Bartels. Legislator Todaro presented Bartels with a proclamation to recognize her for her academic and athletic achievement.

Ms. Bartels was active in the Environmental Action Club, National Honor Society, Lancaster Youth Bureau, competitive and recreational dance and is a national merit scholarship finalist. Ms. Bartels will be attending Colgate University in the fall to study pharmacy and biochemistry.

Legislator Todaro said, “Emmerson Bartels is a class act—she has dedicated her time in achieving success both academically and athletically and has volunteered her time to make the school community and Western New York a better place for all! I wish Emmerson nothing but the best as she heads off to the next chapter of her life in the fall.”
