Legislator Frank Todaro with Ola Benzee

Erie County Legislator Frank Todaro visited Ola ‘Beezee’ Benzee at Greenfields Continuing Care Community in Lancaster to wish her a happy 106th birthday. Legislator Todaro presented a proclamation celebrating Ola’s life accomplishments.

Ola grew up in Buffalo and graduated from Hutchinson Central Technical High School during World War II and the Great Depression. She spent her career at Buffalo Arms, beginning as a secretary and working her way up to Director of Claims. Her friends and family describe her as modest, humorous, outgoing woman who spreads joy everywhere she goes.

Legislator Todaro said, “It was my pleasure to wish Ola a happy birthday! She has lived an incredible life of 106 years and it was an honor to meet her. I hope Ola had a wonderful birthday and celebration with her friends and family.”
