Legislator John Mills said, “During my time at the Legislature, I’ve had the pleasure of working with each of these great organizations. I am proud to offer my continued support and help secure funding after seeing the many ways they improve the quality of life in our community.”

Dan DeGolier, Vice President of the Sardinia Historical Society said, “We would like to thank Legislator John Mills and the Erie County Legislature for their help and encouragement in our restoration project of the Sardinia Meeting House and Museum. Our old Baptist church building, constructed in 1829, stands today as a remarkable landmark and remembrance of our town’s early settlers.”

Clyde Drake, Concord Town Supervisor said, “The Town of Concord is extremely grateful for Legislator Mills’ efforts to achieve a contribution of $5,000 from Erie County to help upgrade the facilities at the Concord Community Town Park. This park is currently used by both our youth and school baseball teams. This contribution will aid in creating a safer recreation area for youth, seniors and handicapped individuals who come to the park.”

Jeff Jondle, President of the Erie County Federation of Sportsmen’s Clubs said, “We will use this grant in furtherance of our ongoing youth outreach and education programs for Erie County residents. Every year, we conduct and sponsor ‘Teach me to Fish’ classes, youth archery camp, youth to conservation camps, conduct wildlife propagation and habitat improvement projects, hunter education courses and support organized shooting programs and archery and firearms for young people. Our programs reach a couple thousand Erie County children each year and this is a step in the right direction.”
