In the wake of various national headlines surrounding bigotry and division between our country’s most vulnerable citizens, Legislator April N.M. Baskin, Legislator for Erie County’s Legislative District-2, will host a celebration of unity throughout the community.
The sold out event will include a free 3-course ham dinner for 200 residents of District-2, a brief ceremony honoring residents of distinction, and also Legislator Baskin’s formal address, highlighting the most recent progress of the Erie County Legislature and its direct impact on the residents of District-2.
Erie County Legislative District-2 encompasses nine zip codes within the City of Buffalo, of which six are included in New York State’s 100 poorest. It is also the most ethnically diverse district of Erie County, spanning from the East Side to the West Side and including immigrants, refugees, and some of the community’s wealthiest individuals.
