NYS Department of Financial Services Vehicle in Erie County for Three-Day Deployment
ERIE COUNTY, NY— Today, Erie County Executive Mark C. Poloncarz joined Daniel Burstein, Executive Deputy Superintendent of the New York State Department of Financial Services’ (“DFS”) Real Estate Finance Division, along with other members of the Division and homeowners at the Mobile Command Center (“MCC”) during the MCC’s daylong visit to the ELIM Christian Fellowship on Chalmers Avenue in Buffalo. The MCC is staffed with DFS personnel equipped to provide foreclosure prevention assistance to struggling homeowners, assess individuals’ specific situations, and intercede on behalf of homeowners with their mortgage lenders or servicers, among other services.
“The Mobile Command Center provides a vital tool and crucial support to homeowners who are facing foreclosure but are uncertain where to turn for help and advice,” said Poloncarz. “Now, that help and advice is right here in our community, and is accessible to anyone who needs it. Facing foreclosure is a stressful and potentially overwhelming situation, but the professionals here at the Mobile Command Center are ready to help and provide the guidance homeowners need to find their way through the process. I encourage anyone who needs the help to stop by the Mobile Command Center during the next two days.”
Schedule for the Mobile Command Center:
- Thursday, October 24: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM Town of Cheektowaga Town Hall, 3301 Broadway, Cheektowaga
- Friday, October 25: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM Amherst Legion, 533 Amherst St., Buffalo
