The Erie County Office for the Disabled will join the Erie County Auto Bureau in presenting a Disability Awareness Fall Outreach event on Saturday, October 15 from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM at the Erie County Auto Bureau in the Sheridan Plaza (2309 Eggert Road at the corner of Sheridan Drive). Staff will be on hand to assist individuals and their family members in obtaining state-issued picture identification and other documentations pertaining to the Department of Motor Vehicles.

“Visiting the DMV doesn’t have to be a difficult thing and this event will make it easier for people with disabilities to come in and get the identification they need without any problems,” said Director of the Erie County Office for the Disabled Frank Cammarata. “Attendees should be sure to bring their original birth certificate or a certified copy, along with their Social Security card, and they will be taken care of promptly.”

Please visit the Auto Bureau at www.erie.gov/clerk/autobureau for a complete list of required documentation needed to obtain either a Driver’s License or Non-Driver Identification, or call the Erie County Auto Bureau Customer Call Center at 858-7450. Attendees requiring a reasonable accommodation should contact the Erie County Office for the Disabled at 858-6215.
