ATTENTION FIRE CHIEFS: Opportunity to dispose of FD Class-B Foam Concentrates
The NYS Office of Fire Prevention and Control in collaboration with the Department of Environmental Conservation is offering an opportunity to dispose of foam concentrates determined to present an environmental risk.
The following Class B foam concentrates are eligible for collection and disposal at no charge to the fire departments:
- Any foam concentrate manufactured by 3M.
- Any foam concentrate manufactured before 2003 or where the date of manufacture is unknown.
- Any foam concentrate that is unlabeled.
- Any foam concentrate that has been mixed with other foam.
The county will facilitate the collection of this product you are looking to dispose of. Please make arrangement to drop the product at the Fire Training Center by August 25th, 2017.
