Minority Leader Lorigo seeks applicants for county Ethics Board

Following the passage of the Erie County Ethics Law in March, Minority Leader Joe Lorigo is looking for an individual to serve on the Erie County Board of Ethics.

Established under the Ethics Law drafted by Minority Leader Lorigo, The Board of Ethics is charged with ensuring high moral and ethical standards among Erie County’s elected and appointed officials and employees.

As Minority Leader, Lorigo has the opportunity to make one appointment to the board. The selected applicant would serve as a non-voting member on a board made up of 8 individuals.

“The goal of this law is to promote transparency in government, which is why I am seeking applicants through a fair selection process,” said Minority Leader Lorigo. “This individual will be tasked with upholding trust in government and protecting the well-being of our county employees.”

Beginning Monday, May 14th, the board will meet on the first Monday of every month.

Those interested in applying should send a resume to Minority Leader Lorigo at joseph.lorigo@erie.gov.
