Erie County Comptroller Stefan I. Mychajliw Jr has released the following statement:

"Governor Cuomo and radical progressives in New York City should be ashamed for eliminating bail in New York State. Erie County District Attorney John Flynn announced most of the ten criminals arrested for rioting and looting related charges will be back on the street. Can’t hold them behind bars where they belong. This is a disgrace. Because of soft on crime, anti-police politicians that care more about criminals than police, our community will be less safe. They’ll be free to riot and loot again and again and again.

Adding insult to injury, rioting, looting and destruction of property by hundreds gathered in confined spaces are apparently deemed safe from COVID-19. But law-abiding citizens can’t go to church, shop at small businesses, or live our lives. Health concerns over COVID-19 are gone as long as you’re rioting. This is life as we know it in New York State."
