Working to discover extraor-dinary people and places in time, Judith Wellman special-izes in finding historic sites in New York State relating to the ideal of equal rights for all people, with a special focus on the Underground Railroad, women’s rights, and African American history. Judith has been instrumental in researching Harriet Tubman and the Underground Railroad in Niagara Falls. She is Professor Emerita at the State University of New York at Oswego and Principal Investigator, Historical New York Research Associates.
