Unanimous Action Follows Close Review, Cooperation With County Budget Office

ERIE COUNTY, NY—At today’s board meeting the Erie County Fiscal Stability Authority (“ECFSA”) voted unanimously to approve the proposed 2013 Erie County Budget and Four Year Plan. The legislation that created the Authority requires that, within 20 days of receiving the County’s proposal, the ECFSA must review it and determine whether the budget and plan are in balance.

“I want to thank the ECFSA for their diligent review and approval of the proposed budget and plan, as well as for their cooperation with the County Department of Budget during the past 2 weeks as they examined the financial plan,” said Erie County Executive Mark C. Poloncarz. “Following a thorough analysis, their unanimous vote indicates how reasonable and responsible the proposed budget and plan are.”
