Grover Cleveland, Elma Meadows to Open for the Season

ERIE COUNTY, NY— The Erie County Department of Parks, Recreation & Forestry has announced that both the Grover Cleveland and Elma Meadows golf courses will be open for the season at 7:00 AM on Thursday, April 24.

“We are looking forward to a great season of golf at both of our courses, which are ready to go after a long offseason,” said Erie County Commissioner of Parks, Recreation & Forestry Troy P. Schinzel. “With warmer weather ahead, I encourage golfers of all skill levels to come out and enjoy some time at Grover or Elma.”

The historic par-69 Grover Cleveland golf course , home to the 1912 U.S. Open won by John J. McDermott, is located at 3781 Main St. in Amherst.  Grover is an immaculately maintained gem in the heart of the city. A different golfing experience awaits at Elma Meadows golf course, a par-70 course located at 1711 Girdle Road in Elma with an irons-only driving range, a mix of old and new design elements, and championship grooming.
