Today, Erie County Executive Mark C. Poloncarz joined Legislator Patrick Burke (7^th District) to tour ongoing road work on Beach Drive in Cheektowaga near Cleveland Drive.  Beach Road (from Genesee Street to Wehrle Drive) and nearby Cleveland Drive (from I-90 to Union Road) are being repaved as part of a mill & overlay project that also repaired drainage inlets, strengthened shoulders, and updated sidewalk ramps to ADA standards. Cleveland Drive is 0.61 miles long from I-90 to Union and has a vehicle count of 10,000 vehicles per day while Beach Road is 1.7 miles long from Genesee to Wehrle and has a vehicle count of 7,500 vehicles per day. The work is being conducted by Destro Bros. and should be substantially complete (weather permitting) by October 19.
