The Erie County Department of Parks, Recreation and Forestry is joining with Buffalo Niagara WaterKeeper to host three Spring Sweep cleanup events in Erie County Parks on Saturday May 1.
Cleanups will take place at Thomas Higgins Riverfront Park, Seneca Bluffs, and Ellicott Creek Park from 9:00 AM – 12:30 PM on Saturday. Maps of locations for meeting and trash pickup are attached for each park.
“Everyone has a role to play in keeping our Parks and waterways clean and free of debris and pollution, so the Erie County Parks Department is proud to be partnering with Buffalo Niagara WaterKeeper to clean up these natural areas for all to enjoy,” said Commissioner of Parks, Recreation and Forestry Troy. P. Schinzel. “We are encouraging residents to come out and roll up their sleeves to spend some time this Saturday morning cleaning up a Park near them.”
Also, on Saturday May 1st at 1 PM the Ellicott Island Bark Park will be re-opening after being closed for seasonal conditions. Normal rules and regulations for Bark Park usage will apply.
