The Erie County Probation Department, acting on a tipline call stating that a probationer had large amounts of drugs and cash in a weapons safe in his residence, paid an unannounced visit today to the individual’s City of Tonawanda home. Upon searching the premises Probation Officers discovered the individual was in possession of $34,000 in cash and a significant amount of drugs, including marijuana and what appeared to be cocaine. Erie County Probation Officers Rob Germann, Lori Cheatom, Nancy Chu, and Dana Payne handcuffed the individual and contacted City of Tonawanda Police, who responded along with other law enforcement agencies and a K-9 unit.
