Erie County Executive Mark C. Poloncarz said, “I want to thank Commissioner of Labor Relations Steve Miller and his team along with the AFSCME Local 1095 team for working out an agreement that respects labor and the taxpayers. A healthy dialogue and energetic discussions allowed both sides to find common ground and workable solutions which were acceptable to the county team and AFSCME membership and formed the framework of the new contract.”
The agreement covers the period between January 1, 2017 and December 31, 2021. AFSCME Local 1095 represents approximately 1,500 employees at ECMCC, the Buffalo & Erie County Public Library, and Erie Community College along with approximately 530 Erie County employees.
