Erie County Executive Mark C. Poloncarz and Commissioner of Senior Services Timothy Hogues today joined Buffalo Urban League President and CEO Brenda McDuffie along with a packed house of enthusiastic seniors at the Clemmon H. Hodges Senior Community Center in Buffalo to honor and celebrate Sarah Davenport Thompson as “Senior of the Month” for November 2018. A graduate of Medaille College with a four-year degree in Liberal Arts, Ms. Thompson has served the community as a volunteer in many ways, including at both the Buffalo School for the Performing Arts and the Montessori Academy. Her most significant and enduring volunteer position, however, was serving as a volunteer for the Urban League where her administrative talents and her earned respect and popularity among the Urban League seniors secured her the position of Assistant Director and Senior Center Coordinator.
