Erie County Executive Mark C. Poloncarz will be joining counterparts from across the country this week in Washington, D.C. to provide county perspectives on infrastructure, COVID-19 response and more as part of the National Association of Counties’ (“NACO”) County Executive Roundtable event. Poloncarz will also take part in roundtable meetings with senior administration officials at the White House to further the dialogue about counties’ front-line roles in protecting public health and maintaining infrastructure.
The Erie County Executive, along with NACo colleagues Hon. Daniella Levine Cava, (Mayor, Miami-Dade County, Fla.); Hon. David Crowley, (County Executive, Milwaukee County, Wis.); Hon. Lina Hidalgo, (County Judge, Harris County, Texas); and Hon. Gary Moore, (Boone County, Ky. The one-hour event, to be held in the Holeman Room at the National Press Club, will be open to the press and livestreamed. ***A media advisory with registration information for the event is attached***
“I’m honored to join my colleagues this week to discuss how counties nationwide are at the forefront of responding to COVID-19 and using recovery funds in ways that help our communities come back stronger,” said Erie County Executive Mark C. Poloncarz. “This is an opportunity to learn from others’ best practices but also to talk about Erie County’s challenges and successes in handling the pandemic and how we are reinvesting in our community to improve it for today and for future generations.”
