WNY Coalition for Donated Goods Invites Residents to Help “Stuff the Truck” on Nov. 14th

ERIE COUNTY, NY— The Western New York Coalition for Donated Goods (“WNYCDG”) will hold a “Stuff the Truck” clothing drive on Saturday, November 14, 2015 and is encouraging Erie County residents to participate by donating clothing that day at any of three community collection sites including the Walden Galleria, at that evening’s Buffalo Sabres game, and at the Foundry on Northampton Street in Buffalo. The donations of gently used clothing collected during these drives will be divided among the WNYCDG member organizations.

“Stuff the Truck” Clothing Drive locations for America Recycles Day, Saturday, November 14 2015:

  • Walden Galleria 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM; collection bins and the truck will be near Jack Astor’s on the second floor
  • Buffalo Sabres game 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM; collection bins and representatives will be at every gate entrance accepting gently used clothing donations
  • The Foundry, 298 Northampton Street, Buffalo 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM; collection bins available

Erie County and the City of Buffalo support the efforts of the WNYCDG, which is a consortium of nonprofit organizations including Goodwill Industries of WNY, The Salvation Army of Buffalo, Buffalo City Mission, AMVETS, Hearts for the Homeless of WNY, and the St. Vincent DePaul Society. Each group uses the goods donated to re-sell, recycle, and repurpose with the proceeds funding the operation of programs and services that feed, clothe, shelter, educate and employ individuals in need.
