The Erie County Department of Real Property Tax Service has announced it will be holding its annual seminar on how to purchase tax foreclosed properties.

The seminar, titled “How to Purchase Tax Foreclosed Properties”, will be hosted by the Director of Real Property Tax Services, Joseph L. Maciejewski and will offer insight into the foreclosure process as well as the procedure for purchasing these properties at the next tax foreclosure sale. That sale is scheduled for Thursday, October 13, 2016 at the downtown branch of the Buffalo & Erie County Public Library.

Guest speakers at the seminar will include Margaret Hurley, Esq. from the law firm of Lippes Mathias Wexler Friedman LLP along with a local investor’s round table discussing the risk and rewards of investing in foreclosed properties.

“This seminar will provide participants with the nuts and bolts details of how to purchase foreclosed properties, as well as insights from investors who’ve done so already and who will share what they learned from the process,” said Director of Erie County Real Property Tax Services Joseph Maciejewski. “Anyone who is interested in taking part in the October foreclosure sale but needs more information on the purchase process should plan on attending.”
