rie County Executive Mark C. Poloncarz was joined by staff from the Erie County Department of Senior Services and enthusiastic seniors today at the Town of Tonawanda Senior Center on Ensminger Road to honor and celebrate Elmer Wienclawski  as the “Senior of the Month” for January 2019. Mr. Wienclawski is 99 years old and attributes his health and longevity to his regular participation in the various exercise programs offered at the Ensminger Center, particularly the CLUB 99 fitness program. A WW II veteran, Mr. Wienclawski married his wife Amy in 1943 and the couple celebrated their 75^th anniversary in 2018. They have been blessed with four children, seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Now retired from the American Bras Company, Mr. Wienclawski served for 60 years as a volunteer firefighter with the Brighton Fire Department and for 50 years has been an active member (and past President) of the Tonawanda VFW.
