Erie County Executive Mark C. Armed Forces Week 2018 will take place from May 6 – May 13 and will include an Armed Forces luncheon on Thursday, May 10 at Salvatore’s Italian Gardens in Depew. In addition, the week will feature the WNY Armed Forces Week Ball on Saturday, May 12 at Salvatore’s. Other activities and gatherings for military personnel are scheduled throughout the week. On Sunday May 20, the WNY Armed Forces Committee will present a Salute to Our Armed Forces event at Riverworks featuring military color guards, the American Legion Band of the Tonawandas Post 264, and more. The Salute to Our Armed Forces is free and open to the public. Sponsored by the WNY Armed Forces Week Committee since 1960, the week is a tribute to the men and women of the armed forces and events this year are being hosted by the Committee’s Navy members.
