The Erie County Department of Senior Services has announced that it will hold two public hearings to provide residents with an opportunity to comment on needs and concerns of Erie County’s older adults and their caregivers. Information gathered at the hearings will assist the Senior Services department in the final development of its Annual Service Delivery Plan for 2017.
“These hearings are a good way for seniors and caregivers to join their peers and let our department know what is important to them. We want to hear about what works for them, what they would like to see improved, and how we can help them achieve their goals,” said Erie County Commissioner of Senior Services Timothy Hogues. “These will be good opportunities to voice any and all concerns so I encourage seniors to join us and be a part of building a better community for all.”
Public Hearings on Plans for Aging Services:
• Tuesday, October 25 at Schiller Park Senior Center, 2057 Genesee Street, Buffalo NY
• Tuesday, November 1 at the Town of Amherst Senior Center, 370 John James Audubon Parkway, Amherst NY
Both hearings will begin at 1:00 PM following a noontime Stay Fit lunch.
