Work to be Conducted at Night While Crossing Transit Road

ERIE COUNTY, NY— The Erie County Department of Environment and Planning (“ECDEP”) Division of Sewerage Management has announced the commencement of work on the installation of a new sanitary sewer along Losson Road and William Street in the Towns of Cheektowaga and Lancaster. Work begins this week on the new line that will cross Transit Road at the intersection with William.

In order to minimize delays in the intersection, work is scheduled to begin at 10:00 PM each night and be complete by 6:00 AM each day while the project crosses Transit Road.

The work is part of the Aurora North Pumping Station Elimination Project, a $7.8 million project that began last fall in Erie County Sewer District No. 4 and upgrades the sanitary sewer system from Borden Road in Cheektowaga to Aurora Street in Lancaster.
