Storm Drain Stenciling Volunteer Day

Modified: August 13, 2018 12:26pm

More From Our Department

Join Assemblyman Ryan, the Village of Hamburg, and the Erie County Department of Environment and Planning on August 25th for a volunteer opportunity to raise awareness about water quality in Erie County and specifically, Woodlawn Beach!

Volunteers will work together in priority neighborhoods in the Village of Hamburg to mark catch basins and storm drains with a custom stencil to alert residents, motorists, and pedestrians that all drains lead into the lake. This will allow us to beautify our community and prevent hazardous materials from entering our waterways and ecosystem!

Register online at: www.tinyurl.com/ProtectOurBeach

Volunteers should wear comfortable clothing and shoes, and will be asked to meet the event coordinators at the Hamburg Village Community Center (107 Prospect Ave.) to start their shift. Volunteers will be asked to commit to at least one shift (but can also sign up for more!):

Shift 1: 10am - 12pm
Shift 2: 11am - 1pm
Shift 3: 12pm - 2pm
Shift 4: 1pm - 3pm

Questions? Call Assemblyman Ryan's office and ask for Rebecca or Danielle: (716) 885-9630.
