Next is University Express which offers free educational classes for older adults in Erie County and who to contact about this amazing program! Next is about nutrition services written by one of our very own Registered Dietitian's Leanne Chung. Next is the Benefit Enrollment Center (BEC) to see if you qualify for benefits such as SNAP, HEAP, MEdicaid and more! After that is how to deal with social isolation during COVID-19 and how to combat that through Erie County Senior Services. Next is our Club 99 which is run by Richard Derwald "Mr. Fitness" and Julie Ruszala! This club helps members attain optimal well-being through a wide variety of programs and services to enhance the quality of life and maintain physical indepedence. Another program we have is A Matter of Balance run by Julie Ruszala and is community-based that helps older adults reduce their fear of falling and increase activity levels! Classes are forming for the 2021 season. Next is our Stay Fit Dining list for congregate dining, not all facilities are open so make sure you call ahead to check. With that is our November Stay Fit Dining Standard Menu. Next is going places which is an Erie County Department of Senior Services Transportation Program with details on how to get started if you need a ride, must be ages 60 or older. Next is RSVP (Retired & Senior Volunteer Program), which has connected seniors 55+ with volunteer opporotunities throughout Erie County such as delivering meals, reading to children, and giving tours, etc. Lastly is a word from our Commissioner and a Fall crossword puzzle for you to enjoy!
