Many older adults experience a fear of falling. Erie County Senior Services offers A Matter of Balance which is an evidence-based program that uses practical approaches to help older adults decrease their fear of falling, as well as increase their activity levels! Life expectancy has improved substantially in the past 50 years, yet societal expectations of older adults have changed little. The Erie County Department of Senior Services is pleased to offer the Aging Mastery Program (AMP) to guide older adults through this life stage. Lastly, as a service to older adults (aged 60+) in Erie County, in collaboration with community partners, the Department of Senior Services offers the Going Places Transportation Program. New registrants and registered members can call (716) 858-RIDE or (716) 858-7433: from 8:30am to 4:20pm Monday through Friday.
