Welcome to the Semi-Annual Newsletter for Erie County Senior Services!

We have a jam packed Newsletter of information all about what has been going on in Senior Services.

First we go through the Frozen meal program and are currently serving over 1,500 meals to seniors across Erie County (Locations are provided in the newsletter).  For more information or to register for this program, please call 716-858-7639!

Next is HEAP! Which stands for Home Energy Assistance Program and are now currently accepting applications! To request an application, all of the instructions are listed in the newsletter.

Many older adults experience a fear of falling. Erie County Senior Services offers A Matter of Balance which is an evidence-based program that uses practical approaches to help older adults decrease their fear of falling, as well as increase their activity levels! Life expectancy has improved substantially in the past 50 years, yet societal expectations of older adults have changed little. Lastly, as a service to older adults (aged 60+) in Erie County, in collaboration with community partners, the Department of Senior Services offers the Going Places Transportation Program. New registrants and registered members can call (716) 858-RIDE or (716) 858-7433: from 8:30am to 4:20pm Monday through Friday.
