The Erie County Legislature's Majority Caucus announces the locations for a county-wide Drug Take Back Collection Day. Recent news about the detection of prescription drugs in drinking water has caused concern about the impact on human health. Also, storing expired and unwanted medications in your home increases the risk of accidental poisoning and abuse. Help protect our water and your safety by disposing of medicines properly through collection and incineration.
Any unwanted or expired prescription or over-the-counter medications, syringes, inhalers, liquids, ointments, patches, etc. can be dropped off from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 30. However, please do not bring mercury-containing or radioactive products.
The following locations are participating in this event:
Bertrand Chaffee Hospital
224 E. Main St.
Springville, NY 14141
