Legislature’s Minority Caucus honors Erie County Farm Bureau

Erie County Legislature’s Minority Leader John Mills, along with Legislators Lynne Dixon and Joseph Lorigo, presented a proclamation to the Erie County Farm Bureau in recognition of state honors it recently received. The proclamation was accepted by Erie County Farm Bureau President Anthony Andolina of Brant and Vice President Patrick Spoth of Clarence Center during the bureau’s March 7 meeting at Cornell Cooperative Extension in East Aurora.

The proclamation recognizes the bureau for receiving seven Silver Key Awards, from the New York State Farm Bureau, for exhibiting excellence in a variety of categories relating to effectiveness in policy implementation, promoting agriculture among the public and in classrooms, leadership development, and membership building. The county’s farm bureau was also honored by the state bureau with the Distinguished President’s Award for outstanding leadership in overall county programming.

The Legislature’s Minority Caucus, including Legislators Kevin Hardwick and Edward Rath, sponsored the proclamation during a recent session, applauding the Farm Bureau’s efforts and commitment to the county.
