Erie County Legislature Majority Caucus was relieved to learn that the County Executive has withdrawn his recommendation for Commissioner of Central Police Services following serious concerns being brought to light about the individual’s past behavior toward a female subordinate.

The Legislature agrees that this type of behavior will not be tolerated or rewarded. The CPS department is too important to have someone at the helm who has a history of bad behavior. The Caucus looks forward to working with the County Executive on finding someone capable of handling the department, who is also capable of respecting women.
