Online survey asks for input on plans for County parks

The Erie County Legislature’s Majority Caucus encourages residents to participate in the online Parks, Recreation, and Forestry Needs Assessment Survey that is designed to gather input from residents. Coordinated by the Erie County Department of Parks, Recreation and Forestry, in conjunction with the Department of Planning and Environment, the survey will, “help Erie County better understand resident usage and prioritization of parks, recreation, forestry, and facilities.”

Erie County is in the process of updating the Parks Master Plan and the survey responses will be used to help shape that plan and helps the county to best tailor the plan to reflect the community’s desires and needs.

There are 24 questions, including which parks they use, what amenities and activities they enjoy there, and what top three values the county Parks system should focus on. Participants can also rank their priorities in Parks amenities and services and express their opinions on areas they believe should see more investment.
