Erie County Legislator Lynne Dixon joined Urban Valet Cleaners Tuesday morning to kick off their 10th annual prom dress drive. Dresses are being collected now through March 21, 2019 and they will be cleaned by Urban Valet before two free shopping days April 5 and 6, 2019.
Legislator Dixon said, “Thanks to our community partners, I am excited to announce our 10th annual prom dress drive to help girls find the dress of their dreams. The cost of prom continues to rise each year and can be a challenge to many families. Over the years, we’ve been able to collect thousands of dresses and we are hoping to make this year our best one yet. If you have a new or gently used dress, please consider dropping it off at one of our listed locations.”
Kirk Lorkowski, Urban Valet Cleaners Business Development Manager said, “Urban Valet Dry Cleaners is proud to be teamed up one again with Legislator Lynne Dixon for our 10th year. We are so happy to help out so many young ladies walk away with a wonderful prom gown every year.”
New or gently used dresses, shoes, and jewelry can be dropped off at the following locations through March 21, 2019:
- Blasdell Village Hall
- Boston Free Library
- Dudley Branch Library
- East Aurora Library
- Eden Boys and Girls Club
- Hamburg Village Hall
- Hamburg Library
- Lackawanna Library
- Lake Shore Library
- Concord Town Hall
- Old County Hall (92 Franklin Street. Buffalo, 4th Floor)
- Any Urban Valet Cleaners location (620 Elmwood Ave. Buffalo, 106 Evans Street Hamburg, 4081 North Buffalo Rd. Orchard Park)
Once the dresses are collected and cleaned, they will be available during two free shopping days, Friday April 5, 2019 from 3-7pm and Saturday, April 6, 2019 from 12-3pm at the Hamburg Town Hall Plaza next to CosmoProf, 6000 South Park Avenue. Any girl is welcome to shop.
