Funding was secured for the following organizations:
- Access of WNY - $10,000
- Enlightenment Bookstore - $10,000
- Lackawanna Sports and Education - $10,000
- Lackawanna Youth Empowerment - $15,000
- Town of Hamburg Youth Recreation - $10,000
- Valley Community Association - $15,000
- Village of Hamburg Recreation - $5,000
Legislator Dixon said, “I am proud to advocate for additional county funding toward these organizations that provide countless recreational and educational opportunities for kids in our community. It has been a pleasure to work with each of these groups and see the great work they do. Summer programming is important to ensuring kids have a safe, enjoyable place to go during the months they do not attend school.”
Determination of Summer Primetime funding is coordinated through the Department of Social Services and the final proposal is requested by the County Executive’s office. For a list of all organizations receiving 2019 Summer Primetime funding, click here.
