Erie County Legislator Chris Greene has partnered up with local elementary schools for his Valentines for Veterans program. Legislator Greene has collected hundreds of one-of-a-kind Valentine’s Day cards for service members at the Air Reserve Station in Niagara Falls as well as several veterans’ posts in District 6.

Legislator Greene said, “Working with these schools to collect homemade thank you cards has been a wonderful experience. Teaching kids about the importance of giving back to the community as well as thanking our services members is crucial. I want to send out a big ‘thank you’ to all of the participating elementary schools and especially to the men and women who have dedicated their lives to keeping us safe.”

Participating elementary schools in District 6 include:

• Harris Hill Elementary School

• St. Gregory the Great School

• Maple East Elementary School
