Erie County Legislator Chris Greene recently presented a proclamation to the Lavocat family of Lavocat Family Greenehouse and Nursery in East Amherst for their philanthropy to the local business community.
With more people turning to plants, gardening and home beautification projects, the Lavocat family has been thankful for a steady stream of business. To help boost business to other local shops, the Lavocat Family Greenehouse and Nursery began hosting free pop-up market events where local vendors could sell their products.
Legislator Greene said, “This has been such a successful event that the Lavocat’s had to create a waitlist to accommodate all the local vendors interested in participating! It is so nice to see a business supporting other local, small businesses in the area rather than just trying to compete with them. I want to thank the Lavocat family for their philanthropic work and lending a helping hand to those in need. It is such a wonderful thing to see!”
