During this morning’s legislative session, Erie County Legislator Joe Lorigo was re-elected to continue serving as Minority Leader of the Legislature for the fourth consecutive year.

Legislator Lorigo was first elected to the Legislature in 2011 and represents District 10, which spans the Towns of West Seneca, Aurora, Colden, Elma, Holland, Marilla, Wales and the Village of East Aurora. He has been diligently fighting for tax relief, improved infrastructure, accountability in county government, and several initiatives to help small businesses and restaurants struggling due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Legislator Lorigo said, “It is an honor to continue my leadership role in the Erie County Legislature.  As we head into the new year, I will remain focused on issues affecting taxpayers and our struggling small business community, along with ensuring there are checks and balances in county government. I’d like to thank my colleagues for their support and look forward to what the Minority Caucus will accomplish in 2021.”
