Erie County Legislator Joe Lorigo presented a proclamation Wednesday afternoon to the owners and founders of a popular brewery in East Aurora.

Lorigo joined 42 North Brewing owners John and Cathy Cimperman, along with East Aurora Chamber of Commerce Director Gary Grote. Together, they celebrated the brewery’s 5^th anniversary.

The celebrations this year are forced to look a lot different due to the Covid-19 pandemic. For the month of October, 42 North’s slogan is ‘5 with friends.’ Festivities include special beer releases, virtual concerts, and several other events spanned out over the course of the month. This is to ensure no large gatherings and the ability to properly maintain social distancing measures.

Legislator Lorigo said, “When people think of East Aurora, one of the things they think of is 42 North Brewing. In just five short years, John and Cathy built a thriving business— A place where the community can come together and bond over good food and great craft beer. Thank you for giving your blood, sweat, and tears to your business and cheers to the next five years.”
