Legislator Mills unveils photos of North Collins Schoolhouse to be displayed at Legislature

Last week, Erie County Legislator John Mills unveiled photos of the Schoolhouse #8 History Center & Museum to be displayed at the Legislature.

Located at 2101 School Street in North Collins, the schoolhouse was constructed in 1857 and operated until 1950. Since then, it has been fully refurbished to showcase its historic beauty. Legislator Mills was joined by board members Brian Lendway, June Karbowski, Allene Smith, and Roni Willett as the photos were unveiled.

Legislator Mills said, “Schoolhouse #8 is an incredible hidden gem worth visiting in my legislative district. I thank this great group of board members for all the outstanding work they have done to preserve this site and keep it open to the public. It was my pleasure to be joined by the as we proudly put photos of the schoolhouse on display!”
