Erie County Legislator Frank Todaro honored Lt. Col. Matt W. Urban VFW Post 7275 for celebrating its 75th anniversary in Lancaster.
The Post was established in 1946 as decided by the Erie County Veteran Foreign Affairs council. In 2010, the Post changed its name to Lt. Col. Matt W. Urban VFW Post 7275 in honor of the Medal of Honor recipient. Legislator Todaro presented a proclamation to Post Commander Jim Wier to mark the special occasion.
Legislator Todaro said, “It was an honor to recognize the individuals at Post 7275 for everything they do for veterans and our community as a whole. Car cruise nights, the annual Memorial Day service, and many other events we look forward to wouldn’t be possible without them. I’d especially like to thank Post Commander Jim Wier for his leadership and hard work to make sure those who served our country are respected and appreciated as they should be. Great job, and congratulations on your 75th anniversary!”
