Erie County Legislator Frank Todaro recently recognized longtime volunteers Rosemary Green, Ruth Degener, Irene Bonsack and John Loecher for their dedicated years of service for Meals on Wheels for WNY.

Green and Degener have both been volunteers for 25 years, while Bonsack has volunteered for 20 years and Loecher has volunteered for 35 years.

Legislator Todaro got to witness first-hand the special work volunteers do, as he tagged along for a few meal deliveries in Cheektowaga and Lancaster.

Legislator Todaro said, “It was my pleasure to recognize these selfless individuals for their dedicated years of service to Meals on Wheels. Meals on Wheels provides so much more than just meal delivery; volunteers are companions to our homebound seniors and neighbors. Thank you to everyone at FeedMore WNY and all volunteers for everything you do.”
