Erie County Legislator Frank Todaro collaborated with members of the community and Lancaster Town officials to unveil new 2020 signs as a tribute to this year’s senior class. Signs are placed in Westwood Park and Walden Pond Park for students and parents to take photos in front of during regular park hours.
Legislator Todaro secured donated materials from Home Depot and worked with Lancaster Town Supervisor Ron Ruffino and Parks Crew Chief Michelle Barbaro to set up the signs. The Westwood Park sign can be found across from the concession stand and will be up through the month of June, while the Walden Pond sign will be up through next week.
Legislator Todaro said, “This year’s senior class is unable to walk across the stage or participate in many of the end-of-the-year traditions. This is one way to offer our support and show students our entire community is behind them. I would like to thank Town of Lancaster Supervisor Ron Ruffino for allowing us to use the parks, Parks Crew Chief Michelle Barbaro, the Department of Public Works, Dawn Gaczewski of Adworks, resident Josh Hagner for his carpentry skills, and Home Depot for donating the materials. Anyone is welcome to drop by to see the signs and take some photos. Congratulations to the class of 2020!”
