Erie County Legislator Lynne Dixon presented a proclamation ahead of the 29th annual American Bikers toward Education (ABATE) Motorcycle Safety and Awareness ride Saturday morning.

ABATE is a not for profit corporation formed to promote and protect the interests of New York state motorcyclists. ABATE monitors and interacts with the legislative process, enhancing the image of motorcycling, and provides educational and social opportunities for members and non-members. Saturday’s ride began at the Erie County Rath building and kicked off with a group of speakers to promote motorcycle safety.

Legislator Dixon said, “I was honored to present a proclamation on behalf of the Legislature before Saturday’s annual motorcycle safety and awareness ride. There will be lots of motorcycles on the road in the coming months and it is important we remember to look twice, as it can save a life. Thank you to all who participated!”

A copy of the proclamation can be found here.
