Our community is grateful for each of these groups as they have made a difference in many lives. I hope this funding can play a small role in helping them continue to make our community a better place.”

Marty Denecke, Director of Town of Hamburg Youth, Recreation, and Senior Services said, “On behalf of the Town of Hamburg Department of Youth, Recreation & Senior Services I want to express my sincere gratitude to Erie County Legislator Lynne Dixon for her ongoing support of our mission.  Over many years Lynne’s support has allowed us to create a Youth Court program, move forward on initiatives put forth by the Hamburg Drug Free Community Coalition and enhance our Senior Citizen programming with new equipment.  Again, we greatly appreciate the efforts of Lynne Dixon as an Erie County Legislator and wish her well in her future endeavors!”

Phil Stokes, Executive Director of Hamburg Natural History Society/Penn Dixie said, “Penn Dixie Fossil Park and Nature Reserve is ecstatic! For the third straight year, Legislator Dixon has secured an increase in county funding for our organization. These funds will power Penn Dixie’s educational programming, community engagement, and organizational growth in 2020 – our 25th season of operation. Legislator Dixon has been Penn Dixie’s strongest advocate in local government and we will miss seeing her at the chambers and in the community. We thank Legislator Dixon, County Executive Mark Poloncarz, and the entire legislature for their support of Penn Dixie and the cultural organizations in Erie County.”
